Gustave&Mylie: ENEMIES!! FROM DAY ONE Oh, this should be funny! Since Mylène has been causing her own little trouble in Paris since the age of eight, first as a thief, then as a member of the juggler group Les Corbiers, I think these two might have had a few run-ins, or almost-run-ins over the years. Mylie hates authorities with a bright burning passion, she cannot bring herself to follow their orders and she loves to provoke them wherever she sees them, trusting in her skills of running and climbing to get herself out of tight spots. She is now affiliated with the ABC Friends and a revolutionary at heart... yes,I think these two couldhave very funny interactions

Oh of course an officer of the law would think that but I dont see Richard hanging above him any time soon And I understand of course he will pay for the help also the estate is just outside of Paris so Gus would not have to go far. I do wonder though do you think these two would get on I see them meeting maybe in Paris, maybe Richard has a meeting with an important person in Paris and Gustave is protecting them like on guard duty ?

Gustave and Mylene
Gustave isn't all bad, he's no Javert in his ruthless pursuit of the law, but he's very prone to making snap judgements. Of course he'll try at first to help her, even if he's had problems with her in the past, he'd prefer for her to see sense rather than shooting her. Of course since she's a member of Les Amis he's never going to be able to become close to her or even remotely friendly once he realises the affiliation. They're on opposite sides of the fence but Gustave is a kind man and he does try to see the best in people, even those who seek to do him harm.
Gustave and Richard.
Being a British politician in France during this period is the worst thing you can be. Gustave is a Sargent. He's not an independent Inspector like Javert, he simply patrols and cajoles as he sees fit. I imagine the only way the two would come into contact is if Richard was robbed, Gustave may be on scene to provide assistance.

Hmm that might be an interesting idea though Richard knows how dangerous it is and is a bit more cautious in France than anywhere else. I could see him maybe getting robbed I don't see it as beneath him to go to a tavern but that is most likely not something he would do all together. I could maybe see the meeting at the Event maybe.

Mylie&Gustave: Help her?? what do you mean? And I never said he was as bad as Javert, but if he sees someone breaking the law he would have to take action, right? OH, just thought of something... Mylène is looking for informations about the whereabouts of a certain Alain Le Corbier, juggler and informant of things she did not know. He was arrested for treason but never executed... I wonderif Gustave would know anything about that

Gustave and Mylene
As a respected and loved Sargent amongst the police G-man is privy to such information. Whether he would be willing to share it with Mylene is completely different. Again unlike Javert ;D Gustave does try to see the good side of crime? if that makes sense. In that he often is willing to 'overlook' crimes of survival, he reprimands the criminal gives them a few kicks or a punch but doesn't throw people into jail because that's how people die.

Mylie&Gustave:
OH! So that gives me an idea for a background history of these two... maybe he caught her once or twice in the past, but let her go,and so nowadays she is torn between still wanting to hate him, but also respecting his actions in a way. She's not stealing anymore, even though her investigations can make her break the law sometimes. Outwardly she's a 'respectable' barmaid now:P If they ran across each other, Mylie would probably teasingly point that out

Oh I can imagine all sorts of banter flying between the two ;D Gustave checking his pockets in a joking manner etc. He tends not to imprison children, but a good clip round the ear from a behemoth like G-man tends to make most people think twice ;p

Can't wait for this!! Maybe we could do a really un-eventful, aka peaceful scenario, Mylie was sent to market by the landlady to get something for the kitchen on short notice, and Gustave bumps into her, joking about that she now rather buys than steals? ^^

Since Gus is going to have a certain [strikethrough]spymaster[/strikethrough] government type deeply in his debt after the pigsty/Essonne incident, our favorite Grognard might have some help to offer the young lady ...
