So. Henri.

Well... I know I've already seen some of the plotting that is going to have to involve him, but I guess I shall make a plotter here anyway!

Henri's the leader of the Sacred Heart. He's a good guy at heart, but commanding a paramilitary organization can wear on the best of folks and he's perhaps not in his most friendly state of being anymore. He's an idealist to the extreme, a republican despite his aristocratic background, he's come to use religion as a justification for violence, see his app for more details?

Nathaniel is his childhood best friend; Helene is his love interest.

Um... I may update this further later, of course. Beyond that... well, I'm open to just about anything? I like drama and serious plots, and I like ridiculous and funny plots. So fire away with any ideas.

Well yes First things first Nathaniel is not afraid to tell Henri no and disagree with him and he's most likely the only one who can actually say that to him. considering their years of friendship, they would certainly listen to each other. Nate will also humour Henri but that only goes so far if he thinks something won't work or is not a good idea he will bring it up, and he always has a few other options and back up plans just encase thy are needed

Nathaniel and Henri obviously share a lot of the same views on things certainly on wanting a republic. Nathaniel cares extremely about Henri and is very supportive of his Helene's Relationship and anyone who wants to harm Henri beware. Nate also is groaning a bit concerned about Henri due to him being stressed and Tired ,and has even tried to get him to take brakes on occasion or let him do all the work.

Nate Knows how it feels though because even he's starting to feel the stress and stuff but he is more concerned about Henri as he knows a barely functioning, seriously tired leader is not that good.

What i think we certainly need is a thread for these two based certainly in the camp considering how well known Henri is I don't see him being safe much place else. Maybe Nate's able to get him to take a ride with through the forest. Nate would certainly broach Henris health with him, and I see them talking a lot about the workings of the camp and what they need to do, Nate will certainly mention he been successful in his trips to Paris maybe Henri worries about that because its still dangerous for Nate to do that. Also we could have it the day after what I put in Nates Journal about those people joining the camp what do you think ?

And a good friendly sword fight maybe, im sure they would train against each other though that's you choice, and im not entierly sure about that idea myself.

As long as they're not fighting in such a way as to wound each other they probably do train together from time to time!

I can make the post in a bit, eventually I have to start studying for exams... lol. (Seriously. Exams. They suck. Especially when the two most frightening ones are scheduled for the SAME DAY.)

So, anyway. If you've watched the Mademoiselle Guillotine ep, wondering what elements you want to keep? There's a potential for a similar scenario to the attack on Cholet arranged (though obviously it'll end better for Henri and Helene ;>). Basically, there's been a trap laid at the gunpowder mill near Essonne (since the rebels need gunpowder) and Chauv's just baited it with a captured note from the King that'll get the SH in past the guards ...

Would make for some interesting tension between Henri and Chauv if it works, but it's Henri's call.

And I am always all for tension. A more successful attack on Cholet is fine with me, and I'm willing to let him be wounded if it helps the plot along! Hey, maybe a wound would even force him to rest... lol.

I think wounding could be arranged. Especially since it would doubtless mean Helene running heedlessly in to rescue him. With Chauv (and possibly Percy) running into rescue her. And then having to rescue Henri, since she won't leave him. *Chauvelin mutters darkly*

Complications with drama because of character attachments are always fun!

To avoid it forcing a long down-time it'd probably have to be a relatively minor wound (or an arm or something where he doesn't necessarily have to be in bed for his whole recovery), but I think the character dynamics over that would be quite a bit of fun.

Helene WILL be racing in after Henri, causing Percy to shout 'damn that girl! damn her to hell!'.

If Percys there i need some reason - unless it is that her fathers contacted him and wanted her to be returned to england- which would work still

Also with Chauv, we need to get that information out, so Chauv finds out he is her father. Whether she finds that out or not is another matter xD

EDIT: Cholet is 3 hours away from Barbizon by car, (has been researching) so would possibly be a days ride away from the forest the camp are set up in. So perhaps, if this attack goes down in Cholet, they would have to set up camp nearby. Whats the main purpose of the possible attack on Cholet?

we were thinking of Percy being there through Max getting some information but we were not sure how we had a few ideas

And what do we do with Nate during this plot maybe he goes missing or something ? Henri getting wounded would certainly be a good plot and Nate will certainly being doing everything in his power to keep him safe at least even after he gets wounded.

Just a note to you guys, im trying to write this up as a subplot, based on what chauv submitted and the new ideas we have. Can you guys check it and develop it? Im not sure ive quite got the jist of it and im sure theres alot more in regards to the military side of things ive missed out.

Nathaniel Re Denei and his troop of men have ambushed the unsuspecting Chauvelin and his guard Gustave as they courier a secret royal message to the gun powder factory at Essonne. The two men find themselves imprisoned in a pigsty as Henri (the leader of the sacred heart) and Nathaniel decide how to deal with these scoundrels. A trap has been laid at the gun powder factory, a possible opportunity for the Sacred Heart, an opportunity created by Chauvelin........

I thin some of the finer details haven't fully been worked out? I know there was talk of the Sacred Heart intercepting the letter but... I kind of rolled into that cbox conversation a bit late. Haha. I'm willing to brainstorm ideas though if people want that.

That's pretty much what we have so far. It provides for an ambush to maul the SH (severity to be determined, though with Helene and Henri surviving), just at Essonne rather than Cholet and with government troops rather than Gabrielle's republican forces. I figure there can be some commander at the gunpowder factory with a mad-on for rebels if we need someone for Chauv to save Percy from.

There were a couple of possibilities we came up with for having Percy figure out what's going on, both using Max:

One is that Chauv leaked word of the letter he was carrying to Max, who then passed the information on to the SH. Max then tells Percy about how he got the information (and more imprtantly, from whom) and Percy (knowing Chauvelin) immediately smells something fishy.

The other is that Max is friends with a kid in the camp (maybe Vanessa). The kid boasts to Max about the two men they've captured and that one was carrying a letter that means they'll soon have all the gunpowder they need. The kid provides enough information about the two men for Percy to recognize Chauvelin, and there's that piscine aroma ...

Either way, Percy suspects it's a trap and goes racing to the rescue. Accompanied by Margot to provide some republican bonafides? Or just because Margot refuses to be left behind?
