Louis and Valjean

Err yeah long live Valjean! -half-hearted first raise- Suffice to say Jean in Louis' mind owes him big time for the kidnapping of Toilette! or was it Nonette... or Bloatette... He forgets. Furthermore someone as crafty as Louis will find a way to get that money through legal or most likely illegal means. Of course Thenardier may just hold Valjean up when he's got the gang together.

All I've wanted since this site opened was to have Thenardier expose Valjean to Javert! But since that can all happen in different ways, and I'm sure Javert will find Valjean eventually, we can just have a Thenardier-attacking-Valjean-without-Eponine-being-around-to-scream-for-the-police thread, if ya like. I don't have any specific plot ideas for these two yet, but eventuallyyyyy Valjean might have to rely on Thenardier's knowledge of the sewers/secret keys to get out of a sticky situation, if ya know what I mean.

Though that will depend on how things go down at the barricade. So I don't even know. I just want a thread for these two askfljd

These two are very much on different sides of the Coin in their belief in God I Would say, and of course Richard is somewhat morally corrupt (I believe) He does however have a huge love for his family believing family is everything, it is the most important thing in the world. Richard belives he Owes god for his life and family, without god and the Kindness of Strangers Richard would be not here today.

So I am not sure if the two would meet and Im not Entirely sure how they would get on, I don't think that he likes the idea of Valjean braking Parole but it seems obvious that he had been able to turn his life around and of course become and honest man and of course worked hard to get where he was today something he likes in people.

Anyway that's as far as I can think im not sure if they will like each other entirely or even get on what do you think and as for meeting maybe in the event but im not entirely sure.

So, I was thinking about Valjean and Chauvelin, and what came to me is kinda off the wall. There's only a couple of years between them, and they both come from the north of France (which, granted, covers a lot of territory), maybe they played together and were friends as kids? In Paul's bio I had some caves he used to explore when he was a child that the local children were too superstitious to go into, but perhaps Jean was bolder than the others? How they'd recognize each other half a century+ on is a question, but we could come up with a birthmark or ring or something.

Kinda out of left field, I know, but it's all I've come up with so far.

Ahh wait I didn't realize there was another post here, sorry! Shoot. I'd love to get Valjean into more threads (because the other ones were abandoned by our dear members leaving, le sigh). IF you're still up for it, that is! I know you've got a lot on your plate right now, plot-wise. I don't know that a thread with them together right now is realistic, but perhaps a past thread...?

Yeah, right now might be a little tricky, since Paul's basically everywhere except Valjean's neighborhood. But maybe the thread with Mylie meeting the Falcon, Sylvie's peeps could chase them there, or something along that line? And after the Revolution they could renew their friendship (given the major life changes each has undergone, that ought to be interesting).

heh. I just realized something -- Paul's an atheist, but the people most likely to care about him (Helene, Henri, Valjean) are fairly religious to one degree or another.

Maybe they get chased into Valjean's neighborhood and he agrees to shelter them? IDEK. He wouldn't want to put Cosette in danger or anything. But yeah.

If they knew each other BEFORE Valjean had his major conversion post-jail-time, ie., when he was still a child, Valjean wouldn't have thought much about religion, but now, Jesus and Cosette are basically the two most motivating factors in his life, so that would certainly come up in conversation, I'd imagine.

Orrrr waiting and renewing their friendship "after the revolution" is a possibility... assuming they both live through it >

Hmmm. Maybe they run into Cosette first? Though what she'd be doing out and about at night with Valjean I don't know. They hole up in his basement?
