THE FAMILY TREE
Claudette de Bridoire, Baroness Bridoire, Robespierre, Scarlet Pimpernel, Maude Duval,
Claudette De Bridoire born to Maude Duval out of wedlock, her father was a passionate and clever young man with a promising career in politics. As a result of this, her mother decided not to tell him of the child and instead let a kindly Baron and Baroness adopt her, in return for them allowing her to become wet nurse and nanny to the child.
Claudette grew up in wealth, while her birth father Robespierre gained power in the ranks of the French government. Her young years were not to last long in France as the persecution of aristocrats began. At the young age of six the government had placed the family under house arrest until they were ready for trial and execution. Claudette, her mother the Baroness and nanny were rescued by the Scarlet Pimpernel and taken to England.
Robespierre currently is working to overthrow the monarchy and with it the reign of terror will follow. Any aristocrats still remaining in France will face trial and execution, in the name of liberte, egalite and fraternite.
