6 Reasons not to Join Last Resort
(and why they're bogus)

1. We've been around 8 years.
In a world where we're lucky if a role play lasts two months, this is something to view as a plus. You can join and settle in with the certainty that we aren't going to leave you drifting anytime soon!

2. We're on our own server.
This is another thing to embrace! It means we are monetarily invested in our site. We chose to establish on our own server due to the ability to customize as we need or see fit. On the member end, things are hardly different than Proboards v4.

3. We have 49 accounts.
We may have 49 accounts, but we're still a friendly, small community always looking for someone else to add to the family. At this writing, we have 10 members.

4. We're AU with extra information.
Never fear! The AU primarily pertains to the fact we started books six shortly before it came out and got to seven long before it ever came out. In this way, we never had the Hallows in our plot but plan to find a way to include them at some point in the future. We also have a few of our own magical creatures which are fairly straight forward and some unique ideas coming up! The extra information? We by no means expect you to read it all up front. Just read the bits that pertain to your character (Ask if you're uncertain!) and then read the rest at your leisure.

5. We have an intricate plot.
At its heart, our plot is truly quite simple. The Death Eaters took over three years prior to our current in character year and set up an institution of slavery for any below half-blood status. What plots you involve yourself in beyond that is completely up to you! We encourage member-created and driven plots. If you choose not to participate in the current site-wide plot, it's perfectly fine!

6. All the members have been around at least a year.
Worried about cliques? The staff and members have all experienced what being on the outside of a clique can feel like and do our best to avoid acting like a clique. We encourage members to post with everyone, and in January, we will be starting a mentor program to help diversify! These mentor-mentee groups will change every few months to allow each person to get to know someone new or become closer with someone they've known a while!

Besides, don't you think this fact means our small, dedicated member base is a little hungrier for new faces?
