So, I need a little help figuring out what's going to happen to Javert and it depends a bit on the hours we skipped. Would everyone be okay with saying things went basically according to canon for him and he's out doing the spying bit during most of the Drink With Me thread? (Or has he already come back or...?) And if so, who wants the honors of recognizing him, since a) there's plenty of candidates and b) we have no Gavroche? Or would you rather he stay out of that thread entirely?

So I personally think it would be nice to have Javert there, after all he would have been there anyway, and i kind want to read his inner monologue as the boys chat haha. Im hoping we will get a Valjean soon! But if you want to put requests up, please do!
I dont mind who spots him anyone got a strong desire to do so? <3

STRONG DESIRE! Very very strong desire  But I don't want to take away anyone's hour of glory! I just think it might be logical, seeing how often she nearly escaped his grasp when a child, and also their recent butting heads with Feuilly present! Feuilly can therefore also recognize him xD Buuuut, I'd like to call dibs? Are you okay with that CC? |

And I want to write that inner monologue, so... that much is settled. I'll throw him in once the fellows have settled into their drinking. :3 Yeah, I'm gonna have to put up a request, because I really don't like his chances of survival without Valjean. (... or with him, actually. Sheesh. What am I supposed to do with you, inspector?!) Oh, Mylie. I'm fine with her being the one to recognize him, and with her being a relative outsider (at least from Javert's point of view, she's 'just' a civilian, not a full-blown revolutionary) that seems fitting. |

I'm thinking that, to explain why Feuilly does not recognize Javert (which gives Mylie a chance), he can come in a little late? Like he's gone to retrieve more gunpowder or something like that, Javert comes in during the meantime, and then he comes back. Of course, he could also probably be convinced that Javert has decided in earnest to come in on their side--he doesn't have the history with Javert to necessarily understand that he is such an arm of the law. That said, if anybody else has any other ideas for why Feuilly would not recognize him, I'm totally open to various options. I don't remember if he even knows Javert's name from their little altercation previously |
