What's in a name? My full name is Dulcinea (Dull-sin-A-a), which comes from the musical Man of la Mancha. My mom saw it when she was 16, and vowed she would name her daughter Dulcinea. VOILA kiddos. Most everyone calls me Dulcie (Dull-C) and that usually ends up being Dulc (Duls) (and that's how I spell it, no "e"), since they forget my full name isn't Dulcie and try to endear it. No one calls me "Nea" BUT THEY REALLY SHOULD BECAUSE I LOVE THAT NICKNAME. My mom tries, but she's like 21 years too late. Speaking of which! My 21st birthday is February 6th!
I LOVE animals xD My family has two dogs and a cat (who is 14!). We tried to have a bird. But it died like a week after we got it...I had a rabbit named Hermione for 10 years!
I just finished up my training at Young Americans, which is an organization that travels the world teaching music to kids grades K - 12 through 3 day workshops :) Then the kids put on a show and we do too. We train and work in Cali where we also do shows and were most recently in the Macy's day parade (we were the dancing penguins. YOUTUBE IT)! A lot of us (and it's my dreammm) go on to Broadway. With my training I am first a singer, but now I know: tap dance, ballet, hip-hop, jazz, vocal technique, psychology, child development, stagecraft, lighting, sound boards, acting, improv, human anatomy and a lot more. Hooray for college.
Next I'm going back to Cali to live in L.A. to work with an acting teacher I really like there. :D
I've lived on my own since I was 18, moving from New York with a brother and mom to an apartment in Cali. I had to grow up really fast, but I think I turned out okay.
So how did I come by RPing?
If I could pick one thing I love most in the world it would be words. Ever since I was little all I did was read. I also listening to lots of books on tape (which I guess is great for vocab. Go mom!) As I grew older I realized that this could actually be a profession - this writing thing! I took 8 college classes my senior year in high school, I had a lot of free time. I really wanted to be a creative writer, and go on to write YA fantasy lit. But then Young Americans entered my life and I fell into my previous love: acting, singing and dancing.
BUT WHAT ABOUT RP?! I started RPing when I was 13, I kind of stumbled upon it on myspace. I worked my way up through the ranks of one liners to novella. I have RPed everything. Except gangs and drugs. Les Mis is one of my favorites, because I love musicals and particularly love Les Mis! Come February I have been RPing for EIGHT FRICKEN YEARS.

I am so impressed that you have such a clear sense of purpose and that you lived on your own at age 18! It's so awesome that you can sing and dance all this fancy stuff too. Jane Austen would be proud of your accomplishments ;D

Thank you. I think I forget all the brave stuff I do, because to me it doesn't seem brave. Like moving across the country - I just HAD to do it at the time, but that's A BRAVE THING. So don't ever forget that.
