She has a desire to do everything in her power to help others, no matter the consequences to herself. She is strong-willed and determined to prove others wrong about what she can and cannot do as a woman and as a Romani. Although people do not know of her heritage, she is very protective of their honour and stereotype. Mizella realized, however, that she could not be who she needed to be the way she was. As a Romani woman, she had no power, no ability and no say in the way things worked. So she changed who she was, damning herself to help, but hopefully being able to write wrongs done to other people. She became Ayden. Ayden is everything that Mizella is and more. 'He' is capable of anything asked of him if it is by a superior. His single goal in life is to take orders and do as instructed. He craves command and has no interest in moving up in the ranks. He rarely thinks for himself. If he can be commanded to do something, great! If he isn't directly instructed to do something, we typically doesn't think about it. He has very little initiative of his own. Years of training have skilled him in many weapons. Although it has often gotten him mocked, his first choice will always be a longbow. Though they are not as powerful nor as concealable as many guns of the day, they fly fast, silent and true and he values their ability. Ayden has become almost addicted to war. Without it, he believes he has no perpous. He is constantly training or fighting and he is happy with that. He is very one-track-minded and thinks of little else beyond destroying the enemy. Ayden is more then capable of hiding Mizella behind his male clothes and cropped hair. Although she does occasionally shine through, he is able to cover her tracks well and keep up the mask he is. APPEARANCE: Soft features create this face. Ayden was born graciously, as if God knew the perpous of this child from the start. A thin and pointed chin and jawline bring femininity to the high and full cheekbones. Dark brown hair cropped short cover Ayden's soft blue, mysterious eyes. ATTIRE: Mizella - When allowed to be herself, Mizella is often in the attire customary to her people. Many layers cover her body - a large skirt patched in many places over a pair of bright orange or blue pants. A yellow-stained blouse that clears her shoulders under an under-bust corset made of rabbit fur. Various coloured scarves and jewelry adorn her waist, head, wrists and ankles bringing forth the true picture of a Romani woman. Ayden - As much as Mizella is the picture of a Romani, Ayden is the picture of a Sacred Heart Trooper. He is layered, although leather pants replace the skirt and a tunic replaces the blouse. Covering that is a leather vest to keep back weapons and a large blue cloak often covers his shoulders from the elements. Large boots and gloves cover his feet and hands and he is rarely seen without his quiver and longbow unless he is in the city itself. GOALS: Someone that can be proud of who she has become. She want nothing more then to help the world shine and change today into a better tomorrow. Although Ayden has no desire in ranking up, he does want to be the best the organization has seen an contribute everything in his power to the revolution. HISTORY: Mizella Cherouslure was born to an already large family. She grew up with four older brothers and a younger sister, raised by two loving parents and a Romany Tribe behind them. There was never want for companionship in her young life. She learned the secrets of her people from her mother - tarot reading, fortune telling, music and dancing - among many other things. But as she learned she yearned for more. She did not want to sit idly by and watch as her brothers had more important tasks. When she was 11, She began to think about what needed to change. She could not be who she was born as any longer. Mizella could not be allowed to continue. As her family moved through France, she fell to the streets of Paris. She loved the city and all it's beauty and she soon devised a plan to be left behind on 'accident' Only her eldest brother knew her plan. Within days, Mizella was lost to her parents and her Tribe. As a street child, she took the name Ayden and began to live as a male. It was easy at that age but once puberty struck, she needed to change her plans. She learned quickly how to hide her femininity and soon, she had almost forgotten who she truly was. But one thing that had always stayed with her were the customs of her people. Even as Ayden, she sang and danced and played music. She refused to wear red or walk over anything other then the floor (she was still female in body) and she knew better then to reveal what she really was. At seventeen, Ayden realized he needed direction. Living on the streets was not the life he'd imagined when letting his family leave him behind. He needed more. He began to take the law into his own hands, doing something along the lines of the legendary 'Robin of the Hood'. He would take from the rich passing by then either buy food for the poor or give them the money directly. It was when he stole from the wrong person that his life changed again. When the man caught Ayden thieving, he angrily asked what was going on. Being a fault-fully honest person, Ayden told him in hopes that he would be given the money in charity. As it turned out, the man was a leader of a secre group known as The Sacred Heart. Impressed with Ayden, he told him what the group did. Everything they stood for was what Ayden wanted to help with and he quickly gained their trust and companionship. Ayden became a troop in the regiment and stand proudly to this day. Over the two years since he joined, he learned quickly the art of weaponry. It was not much different from music in his mind. When the other members saw his true aim, they began to call him The Striker and he soon took it on as his last name. ----- ALIAS: Sousa AGE: 20 GENDER: Female OTHER CHARACTERS: Gavroche HOW DID YOU FIND US: Caution CLARIFICATION Mizella Cherousloure was the Romani name she was given at birth. As is custom, no one is to know this name except her own people. When she decided she wanted to fight for the people, she decided on her Gadje name (the name Non-Romani could know her as) - Ayden Stryker. She took up the guise of a man and has lived as one since. Occasionally she will go out as a woman but that is very rare and only in emergencies. So as to keep things as simple and unconfusing as possible, in posts I will always refer to Ayden as male, even when thinking internally. On the rare occasions that Mizella is the persona in the post, then she will be female. Nowhere to turn, no one to go to. |
