Claudette de Bridoire. Vivacious. Impulsive. Witty. Gullible. Adventurous.
So here we have the lovely Claudette de Bridoire, a French aristocrat who was rescued by the Scarlet Pimpernel as a child and has returned to France with her mother and her former nanny. What she doesn't know is that her natural father is Maximilien de Robespierre, a prominent member of the goverment and a leader of the revolution who wants to overthrow the monarchy and execute the aristocrats ... again.
Claudette is an intelligent and clever young woman, but she is also quite naïve, and trusts far too readily. A bit on the frivolous side, she enjoys fashion, flirting, and spending copious amounts of money on her frequent shopping excursion.
She is also a compassionate girl, and feels sorry for the poor of Paris. Often she gives money to beggars and presses coins into the hands of ragged children. Stubborn, headstrong, and impulsive, she doesn't mind taking risks either for fun or to help the cause of others. She is musically talented, and can play the harp and the piano as well as sing in a pure clear soprano voice.
Basically, Claudette is like a book containing pristine white pages and her story is yet to be inscribed upon them. She could take many paths as they open up to her through the people she meets and interacts with. Friends, enemies, and lovers are welcome, as well as plots of adventure and intrugue. So hit me up and let's write some awesome and exciting stories together.

Hello! Well the two of them are both from aristocratic families. I wonder if maybe when they were both very young, the two might have met? Maybe their families knew each other and play dates were arranged. Mix with your own kind, sort of thing. Perhaps when Claudette was taken to England, the two were encouraged to write letters to each other? Pen pals? And they carried it onto adulthood? Helene could really use a friend, even if its through letters! They both have something in common as well. Helenes real father is Chauvelin, and she does not know this. Very similar to Claudette and Ropey

Well Maxi and Claudette will get on splendidly I could almost see them starting up a charity for the poor they are both aristocrats so they could easily meet each other at a party or something. There is also Max's other side of pretending to be a street kid I can see her tying to give him food or coins thinking he really is one Now Nate and Claudtette, Nate has recently been trying with another aristocrat to sway them to the side of the Scared Heart, for certain purposes such as information gathering and its always nice to have allies. I could see him trying to same with her but he would more try to appeal to her trusting side and then flirting he tries it with Adelaide and it works plus something more might happen I could see him trying to get Claudette to have some support for the Scared Heart what do you think ? It would of course be done much differently than what im doing with bells.

Helene & Claudette: I love the idea that these two were friends in childhood and they continued corresponding. And yeah, they will have quite a bit to talk about when they find out about their real fathers. So should we start with letters or could they actually meet somewhere? Either way is fine with me.
Maxi & Claudette: Love this as well. It would be funny if they got to know each other (maybe she sees him as something of a little brother?) and then Claudette sees him in his peasant disguise and thinks he looks familiar. Maybe at a party, she figures it out and demands her coin back ... Or anything else, really.
Nate & Claudette: This also sounds fun. Claudette is definitely gullible, so appealing to her trusting side would be a good way to start. Flirting might work as well. She can be shallow at times, so getting information from her could be quite easy. Or she could become an informant of sorts, especially if she thinks it will help the poor without hurting her own family.

Maxi & Claudette: That would be great he wont mind being treated so and if she recognises him which might be difficult as he wears glasses normally and wears a cap when out on the street, but yeah she might see some familiarity. You find he will give her coins back if she asks though Though he might tell her hes passed the on to some other poor person so her good deed went to the right place. But yeah they can get on quite well I Think bond over how they like to help poor people Nate & Claudette Oh don't worry he would swing it anyway he thought would get her on side he good at that, though he can be overconfident about it. However he might be persuaded to do a deal of keeping her family out of the harms way of the Sacred Heart if he talked to Henri. Not that he would not do it if it helped to get her onside either. Id see him more trying to get her to be an informant, if hey were to come better friends they might get on well. Well yeah he knows flirting works well it works with Adelaide though it ight not be in the same vien as that and he might not even flirt to begin with unless she started it.

Helene & Claudette: Yes! I think its interesting because they are also now living two completely different lives, Helene having given up her aristocratic life, in order to fight for a cause, shes sometimes has doubts about. I think start with letters? Try to set up some kind of background relationship with the two through the letters first? I think this is a really sweet idea! <3

Naive and flirtatious...? My, my, Lucien's certainly interested in meeting this young lady. Since they're both French aristocrats and in Paris currently, I am sure they would cross paths. Lucien likes to flirt and he also likes to take things a few steps further, knowing that his charm and slight bad boy air wins him much attention. It will be interesting how they interact, how good he will be at winning her over Maybe she's heard a few stories about him from other ladies, he's got a bit of a reputation ^^

Lucien & Claudette: It sounds like it's going to be fun to thread these two together. If she's heard he has a repuatation, she'll be wary of him, but she's pretty easy to charm. Any idea where we should set the thread? I'm fine with anything. If you want another one during the event, maybe he could surprise her with some flowers from the flower stand. That would certainly charm her. Or it could be anything else really. They could come upon each other walking in the gardens, maybe, or at a random party. Whatever works for you. Helene & Claudette: If you would like to start the letters, that would be great. Then Claudette will reply once the ball is over, or maybe I can just make some things up for her to tell Helene.

hmmmmm Lucien just scoffed at me when he read the thing about the flowers, but then went like: 'hmm, if I want this to lead somewhere, if I want to get something, I can play nice. I can even play what i call 'sappy' as long as it won't become a habit.' So, I'd actually like the idea! Maybe we could even draw this out into the masquerade. Like, at the masquerade he'll obviously be masked, so she might not recognize him at first, and if she went out into the garden for a little, he could come up behind her or such, playing the mysterious masked guy and slowly making her guess that he's the same Lucien that got her a flower earlier that day Whatcha think?

Lucien & Caudette: I love your idea ... all of it. She'll slip out to the gardens a bit later in the thread. As for the flower part, would you like to start that one or should I? Helene & Claudette: The letter is perfect. I like the idea of them being really close. I assume they have been corresponding for years so what do you want Claudette to already know about Helene and her current situation?

Helene and Claudette - Yeh, I sort of imagine they confide in each other alot, as Helene has no other girls her own age to talk to. Yeh I imagine since they were quite young, perhaps encouraged by governesses etc to write.
I see this letter as telling Claudette shes left for the camps, perhaps her previous ones explained what they are, but shes been very vague incase the letters intercepted. This one confirms the choice she was torn between, leaving for england or the camps.
