Have you been in a thread with a character and something made you laugh? Or you thought a part of it was beautifully written? Or unsual? If so nominate it here for the quote of the moment.

Character: Sir Percival Blakeney Thread Link: joininourcrusade.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=fau&action=display&thread=1474Post Number: 4 Quote: Of course trying to get his wife to do anything for her own safety, was about as difficult as Chauvelin found tying a cravat. Reason for Nomination: This is hysterical. Slayer plays Percy perfectly. Character: Enjolras Thread Link: joininourcrusade.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=corinth&action=display&thread=1576&page=1Post Number: 3 Quote:"No more will the men of France sit meekly while people die." He pauses, needing to take a breath, the wave of his words have swelled. Sometimes he feels as though he is being spoken through, as though the spirit of revolution has taken hold of him, body and soul. Reason for Nomination: Laur does so well at writing Enjolras. I need an inspirational speech from him every morning to wake up.

Character: Paul Chauvelin Thread Link: joininourcrusade.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=river&thread=1647&page=1#4005Post Number: #6 Quote: "The old spymaster would've shaken his head in denial, but he was suddenly desperately afraid it would fall right off his shoulders, and there was no basket to catch it. The ground here sloped toward the river, and if it rolled down into the water he might never find it. He'd seen so many people, so very many, who couldn't get their heads back again." Reason for Nomination: This simply took my breath away in its brilliance. The befuddled mind of a man with MTBI revealing his trauma from the guillotine

Character: Emile Javert Thread Link: Some Old New ExcusePost Number: 4 Quote: “What is this, a shade? Step out, step out! If you are innocent. If not, well, I have a pair of pretty iron bracelets for you to try.” Reason for Nomination: As soon as I read this, I loved it. It's clever, and it somehow makes it seem that Javert really does love his job. Character: Enjolras Thread Link: The Blood of Angry MenPost Number: 3 Quote: "This blood saddens me, but it hardens me, it gives me resolve. Brothers, you all know that we argue for a noble and righteous cause. And I hope, and urge you, to be inspired by this night." Reason for Nomination: So I know Emmy nominated a later bit of this speech, but this part was what really got me. It captures the determination and the sorrow of a number of not-naturally-violent young men willing to die and to kill for their cause.
