So I have arrived at the death of that Nice saintly Bishop of D, and the introduction of Javert
Here are some simple conclusions I have drawn up
Fantine is an idiot simple as that. Mr T is a creepy man that pokes his head out the door as soon as the word money is spoken,. Javert is a stalker who follows innocent Mayor's around saying that he believes he knows them. And Valjean/Mayor Guy is well none other than Jesus in disguise.
As a side note Little Gervies is huggable

I'd heard before that Valjean is basically Jesus, haha.
I've never read the book, though from my experience with 19th century literature in general, it really doesn't surprise that it's... a bit dense. I keep considering reading it and then not actually doing so. I'm severely tempted to just read the part about the revolt and not all the stuff that happens before that, because I feel like I'd probably end up giving up. Unless I end up having an absolutely unexpected amount of free time this summer, lol.
That said, in trying to make an app up for Feuilly, I did ctrl+f for his name in the translation on Project Gutenberg. He's only referred to by name 26 times, so it was pretty easy for me to glean at least that much information about him... whether he's mentioned other times not by name I don't know, but that section of the book at least didn't look too painful from the parts I skimmed.
Hence my desire to perhaps just read the revolt section for now...

Well yeah there is a lot of description and such but when he gets to the point and stuff its really good. I would suggest reading the whole thing but take little brakes every now and then otherwise you would never rest. All together though I think it would be worth it if you did.

I will actually read it.
Eventually. Not until after April! Too much homework until then. The bits that I did read were good, and I really don't mind the over-descriptive style that a lot of books from that era are written in when I'm not also obligated to be reading textbooks.
