He is pleasant company, though he is a bit secretive. This mystery about him as well as his manners wins the attention of the ladies, but that doesn't faze him. He isn't interested in women very much, preferring the company of men. He still values women, perhaps a bit more than many men of his time do, and values their friendships. It is hard to truly earn the trust of this man, but he will fake it until he makes it. He is suspicious of just about everyone and everything, though he tries to relax and enjoy life. To relax he'll take a nice, armed walk around the city, perhaps buying himself a treat if he can afford it. He comes to life at night. Nils frequents the shadows of the city, easily found in bars, seedy hotels and establishments, and the general "underworld" of the city. He's a rat; living for himself, running through the dark city. APPEARANCE: Nils is a man of average stature, well toned and athletic. As a German, he has a strong angular face bordered with facial hair and striking blue-gray eyes, which topped off with silky, dark brown hair. On his forehead there is a hexagonal scar that he calls his reminder, given to him by the man who tried to kill him in a bout of anger, obviously not going through with it the whole way. When out and about, Nils isn't dressed the fanciest; he can't afford a spectacular wardrobe and, frankly, he is content with covering his less-than-impressive outfit with his trademark long, pocketed black coat. GOALS: Nils wants to be a happy man living a life just comfortable for himself. He wants to help his fellow Parisans lead a better life, hence his affiliations with the Sacred Heart. HISTORY: Nils was raised in a small Bavarian village to a family of bakers, maternal side of the area, paternal side English. The young boy lived too fast for the small town, always dreaming of far away places. Growing up, he had always known the woman his family would want him to marry. Andrea Schultz, she wasn't a bad woman, but he never felt anything for her, or any of the women of his village for that matter. As far as his family's class went, she was the perfect woman for him. Luckily for Nils, she wasn't too interested in him either. They grew up the best of friends, but that's all they could see themselves as. Andrea fawned over a young man by the name of Herman, who was definitely the lowest class of the village. Her family would never have it, and kept pushing the marriage date of Andrea and Nils closer and closer. He knew he could never be her husband until death, so he did his best to help the two run away together. The three left for Paris, France, everyone seeking a new start. Nils didn't see too much of the two after they were wed, partially due to the fact Nils was so eager to make it on his own as a man with a new start, and mostly because as he struggled to do so, and he doesn't want them to know of his shameful careers and habits. The new start didn't go as planned. As situations in the city worsened, Nils found it difficult to get by. Sticky situation after sticky situation, he joined up with the Sacred Heart after meeting with a member in a bar. A man of many faces, Nils keeps the rebel, German boy, and midnight "supplier"/call boy separate the best he can. As time goes on, he finds these lives coming closer and closer together. ----- ALIAS: Parker AGE: 18 GENDER: Non-binary female OTHER CHARACTERS: None, yet... HOW DID YOU FIND US: Proboards Support ROLEPLAY SAMPLE: (Something quick and simple, short and sweet. This is with my muse character of similar personality.) Taz dropped the tune of his guitar carefully, strumming and plucking it to make sure everything was right. He knew there were "fancy", cheap devices he could just plug his electric guitar into and use to tune it, but Taz being the muse he was, he preferred to do it by ear, which he was quite good at. He flipped the pages in his notebook after he tuned it, finding a blank page. Being a muse, he came up with some lovely sounds just by playing around with it, playing nice and slow, keeping the volume on the amp low. He'd been in the music room most of the evening, trying to keep his mind off of, well, everything. He didn't like being in the music room so late though...He knew he had to be quiet for the others, although the lack of volume made him able to hear and feel so much more around him, making him feel watched, reawakening his paranoia. He glanced around the room now and again, occasionally stopping his playing and listening for breathing and footsteps. When he stopped for what he decided was the last time, he actually spoke up, "Hello? Someone need something from the room?" And the shirt on your back doesn't keep out the chill |
