Courf, I worry for all of you. I ran into Mylene earlier in the market. She seems as jittery as the rest of Paris. Something is brewing underneath the surface. Papa wants us to fetch a boat back to England. I do not wish to part from you and the rest of my new friends, as well as Marius. Oh Courfeyrac, what shall I do? - Cosette

We can take care of ourselves, don't you worry. What you should do is keep out of harm's way, cherie. I believe you to have a kind heart and a willing spirit, and we are grateful for your support, but neither Marius or myself would be pleased to see you in harm's way, even if we aren't pleased to have you leave us, either. If your father's wise, he'll keep you safe, whatever he thinks that means, and bring you back when things are sorted.
Courf.
