Their other encounter was... a bit OOC perhaps, so it's up to you to decide if that fits with your interpretation of Javert ^^ It shouldn't be too hard for Javert to find him again, perhaps with the help of Thenardier or Eponine or...? After the street parade, Valjean will be even less likely to leave the house, but that doesn't mean someone couldn't have seen him on the streets and followed him...

Valjean: No worries, I've had a busy few days myself. Anyway, I'd just skimmed that thread but with a closer reading, I see what you mean. But post-parade would make sense— it's wrapping up soon, right? so I don't think I'll throw Javert in himself, but probably one of his informants would be there. Or Eponine maybe? At any rate, if Valjean's not leaving the house much, Javert might have to check it out on his time off, then he could get impatient and knock at the door? Or would a disturbance draw Valjean outside? but I think he's probably too nerved-up even for that.

Nicephore: These two would be so fun together! I do love torturing Javert, and no question, meeting Nicephore would be torture for him. His faith is superficial at best and very Old Testament-based. He wouldn't be affected by a word the frére said, but he'd be very annoyed by it all. And I'm sure Nicephore would be disappointed that he didn't get through to him. Would he be visiting prisoners? Or maybe Javert could wrongfully arrest someone and the monk witnessed what actually happened?
