Patron-Minette. Samantha Barks. | |
[rs=2] | Name: Éponine Thénardier Nicknames: Ponine, Eponine Age: Seventeen. Eyes: Hazel brown Hair: Dark brown Height: 5'4. Skills: Quick on her feet. Good with making up excuses and fast. Kind and it can also be used as a manipulation weapon so it's a double edged sword. Good with kids. Loves books when she can find them. (Rarely.) Good with secrecy. Loyal. Weaknesses: Can be physically overpowered as she has a tiny frame. A free thinker so some times her beliefs aren't accepted by society. (Most of the time anyway.) Stubborn. Emotional basket case. (When no one really sees her for her real inside feelings.) She avoids her parents like the plague and always tries to find her way around bad situations such as 'jobs gone wrong'. Trying to steal something and getting caught. Getting out of dangers way. If a fight arose. Just the pros and cons of being Eponine. Her personality can be described as caring, understanding and determined. Eponine is her own woman and despite her age she's definitely seen a lot more than most people could have seen in a lifetime. Given the bad circumstances and poor environment around her she is street smart as well as a very alert individual. Her father has been using her to be a thief and help the family in the current rough times they had been going through. But even as she did what she was told, the teenager was a hopeless romantic and a very maternal individual. Marius would always have her heart no matter what he could see or could not see inside her. She is independent and knows her way around the streets and alley ways if a quick getaway is needed or even a place to stay or hide. Gavroche is her main priority in keeping safe, she has always been there for him and will always continue to do so. Since her brother likes to get pigheaded and stubborn she has to keep a watchful eye on him around the groups he seems to rile up. He is just a kid after all and a big sister's duty should be to watch over their family. She wants to believe Azelma is capable of taking care of herself but she knows that her sister can't do it and tries to be subtle in guiding her way. When her mind is set on something then it's pretty much done, she's stubborn and determined even if it means putting herself in harms way to do the right thing. Her mother and father on the other hand could care less about the two and were always more interested in what they could gain out of a situation, not the well being of their children. They were selfish and cruel to Cosette and anyone who would not let them have their way. Over the years their daughter had come to realize this and always was on her guard around them just in case Gav and her were next. There would always be that precaution of the oh no's and what ifs in the back of her mind should trouble arise. Growing up in a well off family she thought nothing of it when they had a little girl be their Cinderella sort of say. Her name was Cosette and the Thenardier's had taken her in as long as her mother had paid her share. But little did Fantine know that the little girl would be verbally abused as well as would have to spend it seemed all her life doing chores. Gavroche was Eponine's little brother and she had always protected him, through thick and thin they would always have each other's back's. However what all four of them did not expect was that Cosette would not only be the one who was well off in the future but they would also live in poverty and in a cruel environment. Gavroche became the voice of the people and his older sister had been a good friend of a fellow ally, Marius. -- Appearance Eponine has a round face with defining dark brown eyes and dark brown hair that falls to her mid-back. She is almost always seen around and about in a pale tan blouse, a scarlet ankle length skirt and bare feet. Sample: "We're going to come in when they least expect it!" one of the teenage boys exhaled into his mug of alcohol. She would have drank tonight as well but it wasn't exactly her thing, especially at this time of night. The moon was full outside and hung loosely over the city as if it could just encase it completely at any second. Eponine sat upon the windowsill and hugged her knees to her chest as she leaned against the wooden frame and drifted away to her own little world. "Eponine! Come join in." Gavroche's small voice echoed in the tavern and instantly broke her out of her thoughts like a bubble had suddenly popped. "Let me be here a moment longer. You go enjoy yourself, you should be happy tonight." the brunette smiled weakly at her brother and moved her slender hands in a 'shoo' motion. "I'm not happy less' you're happy." the child sputtered and adjusted his newsboy cap. "I'm happy, see? Me smiling, definitely could not be happier." her words were lies of course, they always were in order to protect her feelings. The feelings that seemed to eat her from the inside out. Her only wish in this life was to have Marius return her affections for him. Finally seeing that the boy was not going to give up she shrugged her small shoulders and hopped down from the windowsill almost feline-like as if she had been doing this for a while. A girl of the streets definitely needed to know how to manuever her way through the world, both physically and mentally in any situation that arose. "I'm down, see? I'm all right, Gavroche!" she leaned down to his height, tugged off his cap and ruffled his hair. The kid immediately snatched his hat back and placed it back ontop of his head in an effort to keep his 'dignity' as he always said. "I'll have you know that I like my hair on my head!" the little boy exclaimed playfully. He seemed so grown up some times and other times she knew he was just a child lost in this horrible world. "Yeah, I can see that." her tone of voice suggested a light and cheery mood but deep inside she had been exhausted from trying to find food last night. "All right, one drink..." Eponine trailed off and then leaned up on her toes to peer out of the window. "Will Marius be here soon? He said he was going to see a friend for some information." her fingers traced along the window that had been foggy because of the coolness outside. "Yes, yes, I'm sure he'll return!" Gavroche winked at his older sister and tipped his hat. Wow, she was worthy of it coming off of his head for a while! "What's he need information for?" the kid asked. "You'll have to ask him!" the young woman yelled out loud with excitement and promptly tugged his hat down into his face. Then she bolted as fast as her bare feet could go and ended up right at a table where all of the boys were drinking. "What shall we toast to?" an older male exhaled with a dull laugh. "Freedom." she smiled and took a seat down on one of the old wooden benches. "To freedom." the other stated as all the mugs were hit together. Eponine smirked and picked up her own mug to join in with the toast. . |
