Victor d'Anthes is a cavalry captain and a staunch monarchist. He's in Paris to teach the king to ride--his credentials for this are that he has ridden for the last few years as part of the Cadre Noir, an elite display arm of the Cavalry School at Saumur.
He did participate in the fighting that surrounded the restoration of the monarchy, which has probably earned him some from friends among the Chouannerie--and is how he got himself promoted.
He's a good officer, but on a more personal level, he can be trouble. He's not a bad man, but he's never entirely outgrown his adolescent wildness and has trouble taking things seriously sometimes.
Friends Victor is likely to mostly seek out friends among similar classes to himself. He's not necessarily hostile to others, but has a tendency to look down his nose at them.
Lovers Victor would certainly like some lovers. He's not really one for staying loyal to one woman, though eventually he would like to marry and at least have a son--but for the time being, even at 28 he still considers himself too young to tie himself down like that.
Enemies Well, he's unlikely to take too kindly to most republicans, and he has a record of dueling. He's probably willing to fight a duel with just about anyone, though generally that won't seal the enmity--fighting a duel with you doesn't mean he hates you, just that you affronted his honor somehow.
This whole thing will probably be updated more later, but this is just a very general outline.

Max: Would have some respect due to his rank but wont like him other than that, if they were to meet I don't think they would get on not from what I see at least. not sure on how they would eet though
Nate: "ah Victoria" We have talked about these two total rivals the same between Nate and Victor's brother i see loads of duels in their future and they could both be pains to each other.
Richard: Well they might meet but I don't see much plotting here, unless you have an idea ?

I think after a few duels, Victor would stop trying not to kill him But yes, they certainly will clash some. Richard there might be some potential, but I'd have to think about it more. He's at least not a republican. Victor would probably just try to chase Max off if he started hanging around. He's not vicious toward children, though seeing him as an orphan he'd not think much of him unless he seemed exceptionally gifted with horses. If he sees him as what he is--an aristocratic boy running from his parents--he'd deal with him more firmly but still wouldn't be cruel. More a "You are misguided and need to be re-educated."

Nate: hehe I would like a thread between the two at some point So what you saying is even though he hates him hes not trying to kill him ? Richard: if you come up with something let me know Max: Gifted with horses I think you having a laugh though I might need to check the app. I did have an extra thought maybe Victor has seen the Lavier family at some point, so he might recognize Max, totally up to you. Max certainly wont like being told hes misguided or stuff like that he wont listen very much.

Victor & Chauv: I am so looking forward to that chase. It will be wonderful!
Victor & Max: I meant just that Victor really only has a use for orphans if they work in the stables or are grown up and soldiers now. If he recognized Max as a Lavier and knew the family, though, he would probably tell Max's father about his discovery.
Victor & Nate: He usually doesn't try to kill people when he duels, deaths are usually more incidental than deliberate. But if it kept happening... he'd start trying in earnest.
Victor & Richard: I'll let you know if I think of anything.

Max and Victor: OHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ;D ;D ;D I was going to have his father find out at some point anyway, it would be quite dramatic if it came from Victor I just need someone to play the dad first Victor & Nate: Makes sense so what do you actually want to happen with these two ive just got duels and pain in each others rear as idea also with feud between Nate and Victor's brother maybe it could escalate ?

Lucien&Victor:
A record of duelling? Well, then I am sure you've crossed blades with this young man, like we already discussed. And I think there might be mutual respect, if not even a slight friendship between these two. After all, they're both military men and aristocrats, and if he's friends with the Chouannerie, why this is probably how these two met! I'd love to do a friendly duel between them, or a ride out, discussing Chouannerie and rebellion stuff. Things are heating up now after all!

YES. Victor loves friendly duels, even though with Lucien's fencing talent he's rather likely to lose! I agree that they would have at least a mutual respect for one another, as I don't think either one finds the other disgraceful in any way (lol). They should be a lot of fun to write together! Especially with the revolutionary mood heating up. Victor--and I'm sure Lucien too--doesn't like this talk of revolution

Oh maybe they could do a ride out in the morning, to a clearing outside Paris to do a little fencing, and while they ride they can talk? haha Oh Sylvie... you're getting around the young military men If Lucien found out Victor's after her too... I could even see a more serious duel coming on... he can be a BIT possessive, even though it's not even justified He just thinks no one should have what he wants^^

Dueling over Sylvie would be hilarious... especially as Victor has no intention of keeping her, either, but would similarly start posturing about it and duel over it. And then be really annoyed when he loses and he's got a bandaged hand (or whatever) over it Try explaining that to your pupil, Victor... LOL. More peaceful riding and fencing practice is also something he would certainly enjoy. I think he'd like the chance to talk with someone from a pretty similar background and he does like to fence (and so on).

Oh God, please let's just do it for the sheer hilarity of it! Sylvie would probably be so pleased and be like: 'boys...', right? But we can wait with it a bit, and first let them both develop something or anything with Sylvie that is even halfway worth duelling over IC So yes, peaceful and just challenging rideout and talk over the recent events sounds good as a first thread xD who should start it?

I can or you can, either works for me! I'm blanking right now on how long each of them would have been at Saint-Cyr, and therefore whether the two of them would have met there... Victor is a few years older so I don't think they would have been friends or anything, but who knows if they'd have seen each other around.
Though the Chouannerie connection probably gives them reason enough to want to go for a ride and fence and chat anyway.
