Passing through Paris, with numerous bridges crossing it is the River Seine. This river is sometimes prone to smelling like an open sewer should the Paris sewer system fail.

This is the 7th arrondissement of Paris, the home of the upper classes of Paris, cluttered with mansions and museums and theatres. Many noble families moved there from the 17th century on, and during the revolution many mansions were deserted, and reoccupied during the Restauration.

Right next to the Rue de la Chanverrerie, Rue Saint-Denis is one of the oldest streets in Paris. The street is filled with houses and is notoriously known as a place of prostitution, however the street hold many clothes shops, bars and restaurants.

One of the largest gardens in Paris. The garden is largely devoted to a green parterre of gravel and lawn populated with many statues on. The garden is famed for its calm atmosphere, and children often sail toy boats in the large water features.

The Tuileries palace, which stands on the right bank of the River Seine, has been the usual home in Paris for Kings of France, their Court, and their governments since Henri IV in the mid-1500's until current times. The Tuileries is winter to Versailles summer in design, housing cavernous rooms and an imposing facade. It is one of the two palaces where King Henri's Court is housed.

A large gunpowder mill is located in Essonne, the mill contributes greatly to Paris's military forces. There is a large village nearby, many of the villages work in the mill, which is a great source of jobs for the citizens.

The Chateau de Versailles lies in Versailles, a small, country village a little way outside of Paris proper. The Chateau - called just Versailles as the village is, is filled with gorgeous rooms glittering with jewels and gilt mirrors. The grounds are expansive with parks, gardens, and fountains. However, it has garnered a more gruesome reputation as the home of ill-fated Marie Antoinette, despite its beauty.
